There will be a Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at 11 PM, December 24 at the First Baptist Church of Perryville. Specially selected music will blend with a message from God’s Word, the Bible, to prepare us for celebrating the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth as a baby.

 Kids Club begins Sunday, October 5 and will meet every Sunday at 5:45pm through May.  Kids Club is for ages 4 through 5th grade. The program will include singing, crafts, bible study, personal discipleship, games, and snacks. This support group features biblical, Christ-centered teaching that focuses on grief topics associated with the death of a loved one. The DVD seminar features nationally respected grief experts and real-life stories of people, followed by a small group discussion about what was viewed. Past participants have related how helpful the information and follow-up discussions were to them. Many grieving people find they are only beginning the work of healing when friends or family have returned to their daily life routines.   The First Baptist Church of Perryville will have their church picnic/pig roast at noon on Saturday, August 9 at McCoy’s Farm Pavilion at noon. Pork, hot dogs, drinks, condiments, and paper products will be provided by the fellowship team.  Please bring a covered dish or dessert (already sliced) to share.

   The First Baptist Church of Perryville will offer two days of prayer for North American Missions on April 4 & 5. Prayer guides will be available for your use. The church will be open from 4-8 PM on Friday and 8 AM – 12 PM on Saturday. Come when it is convenient. Leave when you are finished. Most people enjoy 30 or more minutes in prayer. A prayer captain will be available at the door to answer any of your questions.

   This is an event designed for fun and fellowship around the dinner table.  Each person or family can choose whether they would like to host six or eight other people at their home for dinner, or be invited to someone else’s home.  Hosts will be notified how many people will be coming, but no one will know exactly who until they arrive.  It’s the best way to meet people, make friends, and keep our church one close family of families.
