DSC06250.JPG  We Care Perryville will offer lots of free services, information, and family fun during the month of May.

On May 8, in partnership with the Union Hospital, the Baltimore School of Dentistry, many volunteer health professionals, and more than a dozen other community organizations, we were at the Spring Fling in downtown Perryville from 9AM till 3PM offering free dental, medical, vision, chiropractic, and health screenings.  Information was given away about many important health topics.  We also did service projects in the Perryville area such as road clean up on Frenchtown Rd., repaired steps by bringing in stone and dirt for an elderly woman, and did yard work such as clearing out brush, planting, and bringing in mulch for two elderly residents.  On May 22 we will did service projects at Perry Villa Apartments and the Perryville Elementary School.  Some of the work included painting, planting, yard work, and repairing.

On May 29 we will hold the annual Community Block Party from 1pm till 5pm beside Rodger’s Tavern.  Fun will include a moon bounce, carnival games, free prizes, and a man eating balloon show. Teens will particularly enjoy the rock climbing wall and Guitar Hero contest.  D.J. Jay B. will  provide the music. There is no admission charge. All the food you can eat is FREE. All the games you want to play are FREE. Register for prizes at no charge. Thank you for offering, but donations will again not be accepted at the Block Party. That way the block party remains a free gift from the families of First Baptist Church to their neighbors.
