On November 30th, President Bush traveled to Maryland to meet with Rebecca Mink. Rebecca and her husband Gary founded and maintain an orphanage in Namibia in southern Africa.

President Bush made an address then at a church that supports the Minks in Mt. Airy, Maryland. The president and his wife then both greeted Rebecca and talked with her about her ministry.

The First Baptist Church of Perryville has long been friends of the Minks and recently hosted Rebecca and ten girls from the orphanage for a special evening together.

First Baptist Church supports the Minks through gifts to the LAMB fund which supports select ministries whose missionaries are from Cecil County. The church prays for the Minks every Wednesday and at the days of prayer for international missions. This summer our own Becca Mason traveled to Namibia to be help the Minks with a variety of ministries. Her experience with previous international missions ministry prepared her to be a great blessing to the Minks.
