Pig Roast

On September 9 we will have our annual Pig Roast on campus. pig roaster.jpg

The men roast the pig through the night on a homemade cooker on site.

Folks bring a covered dish (dessert or vegetable) to church with them. Some worship at the early service, leaving time to go home, change and return with food after the second morning service. After Sunday School and the 11 AM worship service everyone goes to the fellowship hall. Some change into very casual clothes. We enjoy a wonderful meal together featuring pork roasted, picked, and mixed with various barbecue or plain.

Following lots of food and fellowship, people discuss or listen to the discussion of the topic of the day. This time it will be about individual spiritual journeys. Share yours or just listen to the others. After a half hour, we are ready for dessert and visiting again with old friends or meeting new ones.

The First Baptist Church of Perryville is located on Route 40, 1 1/2 miles east of Route 222. We are at the eastern edge of the town of Perryville in Cecil County, Maryland.
