The next meeting of the men’s class on Bible study methods will be 7
AM, Saturday, July 21. We will continue learning various methods of
Bible study to better understand God’s Word.

The assignment for next class is to practice the paraphrase method of
Bible study. Even if you do not come to the study, you can learn and
practice this method to grow and stay fresh in your study. Men can
come without doing the assignment and still learn. But you will learn
more if you take the time to study and practice this method.

Here is the assignment:

PARAPHRASE
1. Study the verse to learn its meaning. Then paraphrase each verse
so it lives for you (expand, explain, show implications, personalize
if appropriate).
2. Write down a title and a summary sentence for the paragraph you rewrote.
3. Write down definite, specific, personal applications “I will . . .
” You will only share them if you wish. Personal may be private.
4. OPTIONAL- Choose one verse to memorize and share its meaning with a friend.

Do the above for each of three paragraphs: Philippians 1:12-14; 1:21-26; 2:1-4

We meet at the First Baptist Church of Perryville, MD. The easiest place to enter is the from the back parking lot.
