The First Baptist Church of Perryville will offer two days of prayer for international missions on December 4 & 5.  Prayer guides will be available for your use.  The church will be open from 5-8 PM on Friday and 8 AM-Noon on Saturday.  Come when it is convenient.  Leave when you are finished.  Most people enjoy 30 or more minutes in prayer.  A prayer captain will be available at the door to answer any of your questions. 

  The next Bible study methods class for men will be 5 PM, Sunday, November 22, 2009 at the First Baptist Church of Perryville, MD. Even if you do not come to the study, you can learn and practice this method to grow and stay fresh in your study. Men can come without doing the assignment and still learn. But you will learn more if you take the time to study and practice this method.

   Economist and actor Ben Stein was scheduled to speak at the University of Vermont’s 2009 spring commencement. But in February he declined the invitation under pressure from university officials who took issue with his critiques of Darwinism. University president Dan Fogel explained that “Commencement obviously is an occasion where we celebrate the achievements of our graduates and it should bring people together, it shouldn’t present a speaker who divides the community amidst heated controversy.”1 In short, Stein was expelled.
