Sam was born in Christiana, Delaware and grew up in both Delaware
and Maryland. He earned an A.A. from Wilmington University in
Wilmington, Delaware. Upon sensing the Lord calling him to the
pastorate, Sam earned his B.A. from ATS in Camilla, Georgia and his
Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in
Louisville, Kentucky. Before accepting the call to pastor FBCP, Sam
was an associate/youth pastor at Chestertown Baptist Church in
Chestertown, Maryland and a deacon and pastoral intern at Clifton
Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky.

Sam has desires to get another theological degree, perhaps doing
some more work in the church history field. He is married to his wife,
Brianne, and they are the parents of two children.
