How to Avoid the Coming Judgment for Those Who Oppress the Poor

1 Come now, you rich, weep and howl for the miseries that are coming upon you. 2 Your riches have rotted and your garments are moth-eaten. 3 Your gold and silver have corroded, and their corrosion will be evidence against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have laid up treasure in the last days. 4 Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, are crying out against you, and the cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts. 5 You have lived on the earth in luxury and in self-indulgence. A few movies for the stockings
Phil Boatwright
KANSAS CITY, Kan. (BP)–Well, it’s that time of the year, again. You know: when Hollywood celebrates our Savior’s birth with animated mice singing “Baby, It’s Cold Outside,” and the true meaning of Christmas is eclipsed by the obsession of owning an official Red Rider BB gun.
But here are a few new movies that celebrate Christ’s effect on mankind, with nary a reindeer in sight! (more…)

Combined Morning Worship on the 30th
On December 30, 2007, the First Baptist Church of Perryville will have a combined Sunday morning worship service. This provides the opportunity for folks who primarily attend one worship service to worship with those who primarily worship at a different time. On regular Sundays, the church worships at 8:30 and 11 AM. At a combined service, we use a different order of worship which adds a little more singing and study and will last from 11 AM until around 12:15 PM.
