More Evidence Neandertals Were Human
by Brian Thomas, M.S. *
Neandertals were an ancient people whose remains have been discovered in European caves and a few other places. Evolutionists once ardently taught that Neandertals were links in human evolution. However, they never had any transitional features, only fully human ones. Now a new study adds more evidence for their status as humans by showing that Neandertals and modern people not only coexisted, but interbred. (more…)

George Müller of Bristol
In November of 1844, George Müller began praying for the conversion of five specific men. Eighteen months later, the first was saved. Five more years, and the second became a Christian; then, six years beyond that, the third. Thirty six years later, Müller was still praying daily for the remaining two. One of these surrendered to the Lord before Müller’s death in 1898; the other, a few years after Müller died.1 Thus was the power and resolve of this giant of prayer. (more…)

MOVIES: The best Christmas-themed DVDs (old & new)
by Phil Boatwright
Though we often make it to be, Christmas isn’t really about family gatherings or children opening gifts. Keep your eyes on the true meaning of this holiday. Bondless grace you win; in this straw thee weeps today
Who would ever weep for us; it were an idle pleasantry
To reverence a kingly cradle filled with straw.
In this crib there lies what the faithful longed to see
Who fulfills the Ages and shall our grief windraw. (more…)

Songs of Jesus
O sing a song of Bethlehem,
Of shepherds watching there,
And of the news that came to them
From angels in the air:
The light that shone on Bethlehem
Fills all the world today;
Of Jesus’ birth and peace on earth
The angels sing always. (more…)

Christmas: A Lesson from Scrooge
by David Jeremiah
EL CAJON, Calif. (BP)–Tiny Tim was blessed by old Scrooge after he received a new lease on life. Scrooge learned to laugh instead of scowl — and so can we. We can learn to laugh at Christmas time and experience genuine joy all year, because of a babe who became the Savior of the world and the model of all humanity. (more…)
