  From June 8 to July 27, 1791, twenty-four-year-old John Quincy Adams—future President of the United States—published a series of eleven articles in the Columbian Centinel. Rejecting Thomas Paine’s doctrine that “that which a nation chuses [sic] to do, it has a right to do,” Adams appealed to a higher authority and warned against the tyranny of the majority.

  Worldview Matters Last week, another prominent couple made headlines by announcing the end of their marriage. It was former vice president Al Gore and his wife. I know both of them and always thought they were a perfect couple.

Trunk or Treat will be held at the First Baptist Church of Perryville on October 23 at 5-8pm.   What a fun time we had last year. So many creative and fun decorated trunks.  Children walk around to each trunk and get a treat.  This year there will be a game set up by each trunk for the children to play. 

We will be celebrating 20 years in our building on Sunday, October 24 following our morning worship service. The fellowship team will provide the meal.  Please bring a dessert (alreayd sliced) to share.  There is a sign up sheet on the bulletin board across from the church office.  For more information please call the church office, 410-642-6865.
